2025 Bangladesh B2B Meetings and Seminar

On 22 April 2025, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Investment and Technology Promotion Office organized a business matching event and a seminar in cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Japan and JETRO Dhaka.

The event took place on the occasion of twelve (12) Bangladesh business delegates visiting Tokyo, as well as a representative from the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).

The event was participated by 61 persons from 52 Japanese companies who have interests in business and investment opportunities in Bangladesh. Over 80 individual meetings between Bangladesh delegates and Japanese companies were held throughout the day.

The seminar “Doing Business in Bangladesh” was also held during the event. The seminar was attended by Mr. M Siraz Uddin Miah, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor’s Office of the Government of Bangladesh as the Chief of Guest. In the seminar, Mr. Ariful Hoque, the Director General of BIDA, gave a presentation on the latest information on the investment climate and opportunities in Bangladesh, followed by Mr. Yuji Ando, the Country Representative of the JETRO Dhaka presenting on the business opportunities and challenges from the Japanese perspectives.

After the seminar, the Delegates and participants engaged in lively exchanges to discuss further enhancement of business between Bangladesh and Japan.
