UNIDO ITPO Tokyo facilitated an online delegate program with the following two officials from APIX (Promotion of Investments and Major Works Senegal),
joined by the Ms. Aïssatou NDIAYE, our advisor in Senegal for 13 April – 27 May 2021, for promotion of the latest investment climate and business opportunities in Senegal to encourage Japanese business communities to further invest in the country.

Profile
Mr. Diop has been working for over fifteen years to increase FDI in Senegal, through strategic facilitation of investment policies in key sectors, follow-ups on business activities of the registered companies and coordination among relevant organizations/agencies.
Ms. Gueye, who has been providing advice on the latest investment climate and expanding investment opportunities at APIX, visited Japan during the last delegate program in March 2013. She conducted individual meetings with Japanese companies and relevant organizations who displayed interests in expanding their businesses into Senegal.
Promotional Activities
During this program, they had individual online meetings with Japanese companies to provide hand-holding support that meets company-specific needs. They also spoke online at the “Senegal Business and Investment Seminar”:
