UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited Mr. Alaaeddine Harhoura, General Directorate of the Industrial and Technological Development, from 24-30 March 2019.

Profile

Mr. Harhoura joined the Ministry of Industry and Mines in 2015, and was engaged in identifying technical assistance, evaluating and developing a periodic situation on bilateral cooperation in the sector. Currently, he is in charge of CKD/AUTO-ASSEMBLY and a member of Renovated Chains Technical Evaluation Committee at General Directorate of the Industrial and Technological Development. He also serves as Officer-in-charge of the Technical Secretariat of the Public Transactions Sectoral Commission since 2016.

Activities in Japan

During the stay, Mr. Harhoura had individual meetings with Japanese companies and organizations that are interested in expanding their business in Algeria and shared information on the latest business environment and investment opportunities in the country. He also gave a lecture at “Algeria Business and Investment Seminar” hosted in Tokyo on March 29. Mr. Lies Kerrar UNIDO’s advisor in Algeria, came to Japan around the same time and joined the visits to the companies.
