UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited environmental experts from Cambodia and the Philippines to Japan between 11 to 15 November 2024.
H.E. Mr. Sunit Paksamay from Cambodia and Mr. Ed Karlon Navarro Rama from the Philippines participated in the 17th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair, held at Culttz Kawasaki on 13 and 14 November 2024. UNIDO ITPO Tokyo facilitated individual meetings between the delegates and Japanese companies to explore potential business opportunities in Cambodia and the Philippines.
As part of the event “ASEAN×EU Meet Up Day“ on Thursday, 14 November, both delegates presented on the current status and needs related to environmental technologies in their respective countries.
Following the fair, the experts toured various facilities in Kawasaki, including waste treatment plants, to gather insights and exchange ideas aimed at addressing pressing environmental challenges in their home countries.
Additionally, the experts engaged in exclusive one-on-one sessions with companies registered on the Sustainable Technology Promotion Platform (STePP). These sessions allowed six companies to showcase their technologies directly, resulting in nine focused business discussions with the delegates.
This collaborative effort highlighted the potential for meaningful partnerships to address environmental and industrial challenges in both Cambodia and the Philippines.
