UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, together with the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Japan, will host the “Tunisia Business and Investment Seminar” on the occasion of inviting Mr. Jalel Tebib, the Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency Tunisia (FIPA).
Tunisia is a growing market in North Africa with a stable investment environment, as well as prosperous human resources and infrastructure. The country also acts as a gateway to African, European and middle East markets, supported by trade agreements with over 100 countries. Tunisia was also the host country of the TICAD8 summit last August. More than 3,650 foreign companies, including 22 Japanese companies, are investing in Tunisia in various sectors. With various investment incentives, the country is now actively approaching Japanese companies to consider expanding their businesses and investments in the country.
This seminar aims to provide Japanese companies with information on the Tunisian business environment and investment opportunities. During the keynote presentation, Mr. Tebib will introduce the latest information on investment incentives and sectors of interest. In addition, Japanese companies that are operating in Tunisia are invited for a panel discussion to discuss their experiences and opportunities in Tunisia. A networking session with refreshments will follow the seminar where Japanese companies can meet with Mr. Tebib and other speakers.
