UNIDO ITPO Tokyo will organize Tajikistan Investment Seminar (online) on 31 August 2022, jointly with the State Commitee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Embassy of Tajikistan in Japan.
The seminar will introduce investment climate and business opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan. Tajikistan, a mountainous landlocked country in Central Asia bordering with China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Afganistan, is known for its rich water resources. Main industries include agriculture (especially cotton), animal breeding, textile and aluminum production. There are investment opportunities in sectors such as hydropower, agricuture/food processing, textile, logistics, constrcution, etc. The country also offers Free Trade Zones (FEZs) in 5 locations where investors can enjoy various tax incentives.
