UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited Mr. Alex Ntale, CEO of Rwanda ICT Chamber from 1st to 14th December 2019.
Mr. Tadesse, our advisor in Ethiopia who also covers Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi, joined this delegate programme to further enhance collaboration between Japanese companies and Rwanda.
Profile
Mr. Alex Ntale serves as CEO of the Rwanda ICT Chamber since its establishment in 2012. The Rwanda ICT Chamber, under the Private Sector Federation (PSF) in Rwanda, has around 250 member companies. It provides advocacy and skill development schemes for Rwandan ICT companies. As CEO of the Chamber, Mr. Ntale has been playing a key role to bridge its member companies and Japanese partners for concrete business partnerships such as JVs and technical cooperation.
Promotional Activities in Japan
During his stay in Tokyo, Fukushima, Fukuoka, Kobe and Osaka, he met with Japanese companies and institutes including venture capitals who see a promising future in ICT business with Rwanda. Local circumstances and business opportunities tailored to each company’s needs were provided by the delegate.
His experience and knowledge also attracted participants at the Round-table Meeting with startups in Fukuoka as well as in his lecture at Kobe Institute of Computing.
