UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, in collaboration with JETRO, invited delegates from Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX) to Tokyo from 29 January to 9 February 2018.

Mr. Danúbio Lado, Marketing Officer serves as Japan desk at APIEX. And Ms. Khemwattie MUANDO (Sattie Rohit), Project and Aftercare Services Officer, has also been liaising for Japanese companies under UNIDO’s delegate programme since 2012.

Activities in Japan
In the first week of their stay, they participated in JETRO’s training programme, visiting investment promotion agencies of other countries who have branches in Japan as well as Yokohama port and customs. At Mozambique & South Africa Business Seminar on 2 February at ARK HILLS CLUB in Tokyo, Mr. Lourenço Sambo, Director General of APIEX introduced the latest investment climate and business opportunities in Mozambique, followed by Mr. Danúbio Lado’s convincing speech on how APIEX supports Japanese investors. The second week, under UNIDO’s investment promotion programme, was of bilateral meetings with Japanese companies operating in Mozambique and potential investors, where the delegates deepened understanding on their business and issues, and provided tailored information which shall be followed up continuously after this programme.
