UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited Ms. Diana Ladislaus Mwamanga, Investment Officer at the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), to Japan from 27 May to 5 June 2025, in cooperation with the Embassy of Tanzania.
During her visit, she followed up on last year’s programme and promoted Tanzania’s latest investment climate and opportunities to Japanese companies. Mr. Gilead Teri, Executive Director of TIC, also joined part of the programme during his visit to Japan for the Tanzania National Day at Expo 2025. Mr. Williard Kaaya, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo’s Africa Advisor in Tanzania since February, also participated.
Profile
Ms. Diana Ladislaus Mwamanga is an investment officer at the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), responsible for East and Southeast Asia, including Japan. She has a background in business administration and joined TIC in 2018 following her experience in the private sector. She actively engages with Japanese companies to promote and support investment in Tanzania.
Promotional Activities
During her visit to Japan, Ms. Mwamanga attended the Tanzania Investment Seminar with Mr. Gilead Teri, Executive Director of TIC, where they introduced Tanzania’s investment climate and held networking sessions with Japanese companies. She also held individual meetings in Tokyo and Shizuoka with companies interested in Tanzania.
Mr. Williard Kaaya, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo’s Africa Advisor in Tanzania, joined the meetings and helped establish a support structure for follow-up.
Representatives from the Tea Board of Tanzania (TBT), the Cereal and Other Produce Regulatory Authority (COPRA), the Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO), the Tanzania Geothermal Development Company (TGDC), the Tanzania Fisheries Corporation (TAFICO), and the Zanzibar Fisheries Company (ZAFICO) also visited Japan during the same period and joined some of the meetings.
