UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited Mr. Ariful Hoque, Director General, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) from 22 to 24 April 2025.

Mr. Hoque, with working experience in the Bangladesh government for 27 years, joined Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) in 2016. At BIDA he has been engaged in activities including making policies, implementing measures to improve investment climate and attracting foreign direct investment into Bangladesh.

Mr. Hoque’s Activities during the Delegate Programme

During his stay in Japan, Mr. Hoque made presentations at Seminars and B2Bs held at United Nations University. During the event, Mr. Hoque had individual meetings with 14 Japanese companies and organizations who have interests to develop business in Bangladesh. 

Mr. Hoque also attended the roundtable meeting with ICOSA (International Cooperation Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises in Asia) to exchange information and views to further promote Japanese investments to Bangladesh.
