From Monday, November 21 to Friday, November 25, 2022, Mr. Aliou Gning, Project Manager of the Sandiara Special Economic Zone, accompanied the Mayor of Sandiara, Dr. Serigne Gueye Diop, to Japan and participated in the Mayor’s visit program.
Main activities
Dr. Diop and Mr. Gning attended the seminar, “Business and Investment in Senegal – Opportunities from Sandiara Special Economic Zone to West Africa”, held by UNIDO ITPO Tokyo on Tuesday, 22 November at the United Nations University Building and introduced the investment environment in Senegal. Mr. Gning will follow up on the actions which Dr. Diop identified during the visit to Japan together with Ms. Aissatou Ndiaye, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo Africa Advisor for the French-speaking West African region.
Previously, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized delegate programs from Senegal to Japan in April 2021 with Mr. Mr. Moustapha Diop, Head of Marketing Department of the APIX (Promotion of Investments and Major Works Senegal) and Ms.Adama Ndiaye Gueye, Business Line Manager. In March 2013, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo also invited Ms.Adama Ndiaye Gueye to Japan with the same programme.
