UNIDO ITPO Tokyo facilitated an online Delegate Programme for Mr. Mauricio Concha Rivera, Investment Manager (Manufacturing Sector), Invest Pacific of Colombia from 10th to 27th May 2022.

Mr. Concha, with working experiences for Colombia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNDP Bogota, Organization of American States, as well as the Mayor’s office of Cali, joined Invest Pacific in March 2018 as Investment Manager with responsibilities for attracting foreign direct investment into Cali and the Valle del Cauca region in Colombia.

Mr. Concha’s Activities during the Online Delegate Programme

Mr. Concha had individual meetings with Japanese companies mainly in the manufacturing sector with interests in developing business in Colombia. In the meetings, Mr. Concha introduced the comparative advantages of Valle del Cauca from the viewpoints of strategic location for export and distribution, tax and tariff incentives, competitive operating costs and human talent availability.
