FIPA Tunisia Webinar: Road to Tunisia
Nestled in the hub of the Mediterranean, Tunisia is strategically positioned as an ideal investment destination for investors and multinationals alike. The economy and investment opportunity in Tunisia is driven by mechanical, electronics and automotive components followed by Software, IT, Textiles and Pharmaceuticals. According to a Global Innovation Index, Tunisia is ranked 2nd as an innovative economy in Africa. Tunisia is a member of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), home to 625 million consumer market. Tunisia has an advanced status in the European union and holds several free trade agreements alongside its ratification the largest free trade area in Africa – the AfCFTA (The African Continental Free Trade Agreement).
Over the last decade, Japan and Tunisia’s economic relation has been favorably developing. This is further confirmed with the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) which will be held in Tunisia in 2022. Japan’s footprint in Tunisia is initially anchored by investment in electronics and automotive component supply chains.
The webinar Road to Tunisia: Investment Opportunity for Japan, held on 21 December, 2021 at 3:00 – 4:30pm JST, will seek to provide esteemed Japanese companies, partners and multinationals with an overview of the investment opportunity in key sectors, information of new advances and innovation in the Tunisian market and the resilient sectors that prove favorable for investment.
This webinar is Hosted by FIPA Tunisia and the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Japan in cooperation with the IFC World Bank Group, the European Union, the Swiss Federation and Wavteq Ltd.
